Mock Draft Results

I was asked to be part of a mock draft by Gridiron Experts and wanted to give my results of the draft and why I picked who I did at that position in the draft.  I know it is early in the year but what better time to compile some mock drafts and get the ball rolling for the 2012 Fantasy Football season.  I drafted from the 1.08 position and here is how things went.  Standard PPR scoring.

.08 - A.J. Green WR -- Probably should have played it safe with Fitz but Green in year 2 seems so intriging I had to have him

.05 - Jimmy Graham TE -- Getting Graham in the middle of the 2nd in PPR start 1 TE league is Gold

.08 - Marshawn Lynch RB -- Wanted a work horse RB and at 3.08 Lynch is a great value

.05 - Percy Harvin WR -- I love having Percy as my WR2. With Simpson coming to town and Rudolph gaining experience Percy can be that much more explosive.

.08 - Eli Manning QB -- Lots of RB/WR's all lumped together now, why not go QB and get Elite Eli (Who I hate)

.05 - Jonathan Stewart RB -- Carolina has been hinting at going all in on the ground game this year. Worth a play in round 6

.08 - C.J. Spiller RB -- A lot of people are on the Freddie Jackson boat but I am a firm believer and totally on the Spiller boat

.05 - Denarius Moore WR -- Love what the Raiders are doing loading up with talented WR's and Palmer with a full offseason under his belt. I think this offense can explode in 2012 and Moore will be a huge reason for it.

.08 - Santonio Holmes WR -- Holmes value is deflated with all the bad karma in 2011 and the continued bad buzz in this offseason. He is still the main guy on the Jets and someone needs to catch the ball, the fact is the whole team played poorly last year.

.05 - Jared Cook TE -- Didn't really need a backup TE with having a Stud in a start 1 TE league but still like Cook's upside as a bye week guy and as trade bait if he hits.

.08 - Laurent Robinson WR -- They brought this guy in and gave him big money to help the offense, so bottom of the 11th round seems like a good place to take a stab.

.05 - Sam Bradford QB -- Good upside backup QB to hold. If he fails like last year not a huge deal I don't need him as a starter. On the other hand has potential to put big numbers and break out

.08 - Shane Vereen RB -- 13th Round flier, why not? Should get some carries in a crowded backfield and who knows maybe he takes over as the #1 in NE

.05 - Philadelphia Eagles Defense -- Eagles Homer, and love all the D-Line upgrades, and what this defense can do in year 2 in the system.

.08 - Randall Cobb WR -- 2012 version of Jordy Nelson? Well maybe half of that

.05 - Jason Hanson PK -- Always wait until the last round to take a kicker and look for a guy that plays on a team that scores lots of points and kicks indoors.
